I run 2 tricky trays per year (this is our 4th year). We have offered this as a prize at each one. While I personally find it expensive, it is a prize that goes over very well at our events. One year a group of people came to the event just for this prize! I have only heard good things about the resort and have been told by several people that it is well worth the extra cost. I put a disclaimer out with the prize so no one is surprised by any unexpected costs and leave it up to them if they want to bid.
I am fairly new to the site, as this is my first year helping with our school auction. I found this list through Google and am so glad I did! It's been a great wealth of information, so thanks to all of you!
My question is about Elite Island Resorts. We got notification that our request has been approved, but were totally shocked by the value of about $16,000! I know there is some sort of minimum requirement as far as purchasing food, activities, etc. that will be the responsibility of those who purchase the certificates, but I am worried I might be sending people into some sort of timeshare nightmare! Has anybody had any success or other stories about Elite? We're super excited, but it just seems too good to be true.
