Iowa- when you asked hotels, were they large chains? Privately owned hotels? B & B's?

For folks that ask for very specific items for baskets via Sign Up Genius or another method, would you be willing to share your list of requested items? This is even harder for me to wrap my head around than businesses to ask!

I'm happy to share my success at landing each of my hotels I tried for which is in Florida, Kansas city and Des Moines.
I called each one directly and asked for the person in charge of donations and got their name and email address. I usually got their voicemail which I left a message then I would send them an email too with my attached donation letter.
I explained to them that I acquired several attractions from their area for a family to keep them busy for an extended weekend. That family would need a place to stay and with so many choices out there. why not have it be your hotel. If they would donate a night then most likely the family will continue to stay at their fine hotel.
I got responds from all of them the next day. It got me a waterpark resort, queen size suite and a reg room all with breakfast included. I hope they help bring in higher bids.
