OK so Greater Giving and Bidding for Good I think I get, but what about Innovative Event Solutions? They don't appear to be a consignment company, but say they help collect donations. Has anyone used a service like that? Any input?

I don't know how to delete a post...however the auction item that I was passing along to any one in Northern California has been taken. I hope it helps your auction.

Perhaps you could ask the person who has that number to request the donation on the internet on their own If they wont share the number with you perhaps they can fill out the request on their own.
The six digit tax exempt number that you have is most likely your state sales tax exempt number. What Disney is looking for is your Federal EIN, which is something different. The EIN is 9 digits (i.e. 12-3456789). A Federal EIN does not automatically mean that you are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, but furnishing it to a company such as Disney allows them to verify your status with the IRS.
Speak with your PTO treasurer, who should have the number, as it is required for annual tax returns. Is she/he cannot provide it, ask your president or regional PTA rep. Many companies are now requiring this tax ID for donations. Good luck!!!

Our 501c3 number is 45-xxxxxxx. I don't know if that's the same thing as our EIN. It might be, but I don't ever have a need for it when filling stuff out.
