Has anyone tried receiving donations thru good360 dot org for silent auctions? I know some in our PTA were leary to do that because they were afraid it would be taking away from the needy. To me it read that it was more of a one-stop 'shop' for requesting donations from several large corporations.
Businesses we have had good luck with:
Locally owned businesses are great to approach as they are vested in the community and it is inexpensive advertising. Helps a lot if you are a regular customer that they know by name/face - I do a lot of these requests in person.
- dance studios
- scrapbooking stores
- franchisees for businesses such as DQ, Once Upon a Child
- garden centers
- restaurants
- salons
- photography studios
- dinner theaters
Professional sports teams will donate items if you contact the local team directly. In Minnesota, most of the teams now have online forms to fill out.
Brueggers Bagels also has an online form. You choose the location closest to you and they forward the request to that store. We received several dozen bagels for free last spring for our carnival volunteers.
In reply to how to get the WDW tickets. You really just have to fill out their online form. Make sure to submit your tax id information, with the use for your tickets. I filled mine out for this year, yesterday morning and was approved by last night.
Could anyone share a sample letter they sent to Disney? I must be wording something wrong! I don't understand how our school isn't getting tickets. Thanks in advance for the help!!!
Carrie, I would love to get copies of your letters if you're willing to share. You can email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
