We can't get any airlines like so many are saying they are having trouble with. Also can't get a local Disney hotel.

Some of the other listings - please look to see if they require your school to be in their local area (such as Dollywood - they can only donate to certain states).

And most places want at least 6-8 weeks notice. Somehow I always miss the Redskins deadline (they seem to have a longer request period) but have sent to other sports teams in the Baltimore/Washington area (just sent last week so I'm not sure what I'll get yet).

Also SeaWorld - wants you to show proof of airline tickets and hotel.

Samsonite says that every time "not now, but please ask again later". I also do events for other non-profits and they get the same response.

However, wrigleys and kettle chips seem to give (to goody bags) randomly. We get no's as often as we get yes's.

I began asking for donations last Aug...our event is not till March 31st. I had asked a few places that stated that they could not do donations at that time, and to ask again this year, if we were having another event.

Has anyone had any luck, getting a decline, then asking the same company again after the beginning of the year and getting a donation?
