I was wondering if anyone has a corporate sponsorship letter you use that has been successful... I'm getting ready to hit up companies in my area, and want to bring in a letter.
I see that some people were able to get a donation from Chris Rock. I am having a hard time finding contact information for him. Any help will be appreciated!
Just a heads up that green mountain coffee says on their site they do not donate the keurig brewers any longer but will donate a gift basket. I recieved mine but had checked the link to send to a friend
re: 501(c)(3) certificate - you should have a letter from the IRS stating that you are an eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It will also have your EIN # printed on it. If you do not have it, you will have to request from the IRS for a copy/determination letter. It usually takes a few weeks. However, most nonprofits have it on file. School organizations also should have it in their files as it is required for everything from a sales tax exemption card to verifying status for donations - both in-kind and monetary.
This is my first year of being the "official" solicitator! We are 501 c 3 certified but are having a hard time trying to locate a one page simple form stating that. I have the tax id #. I am filling out the donation request form for American Girl and it states that they want a copy of the 501 c 3 certificate. Has anyone received a donation without sending it? I have a copy of our form ST-5.
Any tips on how I can go about locating our certificate?
