This is similiar to what we do. First we are a small elementary school with about 300 children and we have each classroom pick a basket idea from a list i.e. Get Moving (items donated ranging from jump ropes to memberships to fitness clubs).

Anyways on top of those we also put together baskets with all of the gift certificates and items that we have collected. I will say that here in Michigan this is by far the hardest year in the past 10 years that i've been helping for this stuff in elementary levels. You can tell that our economy is hurting pretty bad. Even a lot of our regular donors just aren't able to help out this year. It's a very sad thing for us and our school as this is where the bulk of our funds come from each year to help our PTO.

Ok enough rambling now back to reading more of these fabulous ideas
