I am so lucky that with three kids, we have only been to the er twice. ONce was a 105 degree temp that I couldn't bring down at home but mysteriously cleared up at the hospital, and the other was for stitches when my DS hit his head on a toilet at school. AT least he learned his lesson about playing around in the bathroom!
Believe it or not this one isn't my accident prone one. My 12 yr. old has broken his nose twice, cracked a toe, 2 ingrown toenails removed, tonsils removed, sprained ankle, broken wrist.... I have 5 boys & the er knows me by sight. It's sad when the er doc. says to you... don't I know you from somewhere or which one this time. Oh the joys of parenthood.
My precious pair attempted to attach two sleds together and do a "train" down the hill. Worked great until the front sled stopped but the back one didn't and rode right over the front one. No big gaping wounds luckily and the dog licked away the tears. Of course, then she tried to lie on him to protect him I guess and that started a whole other problem. She's 130 lbs and my son is 70 lbs!
