Today is the end of the first week of school. So far so good, at least with my kids. I haven't been inside the school all week except for the first day. Am I bad or what?

I figure that they have 2 numbers to reach me if they need me and they can always send home a note with my daughter if needed. It's not that I don't want to see what's going on, it's just that I know how busy everyone is this first week and just feel that if they need me they'll let me know.

We have our first open meeting on the 23 of this month so I'm wondering how many people we'll have show up. The teachers are talking us up to the the kids, there's been sign up forms sent home, etc. Hopefully we'll have a full house (about 15 parents if we're lucky).

I do need to stop in the office this morning and see if there is anything that needs to be put in the school's newsletter, but I think that it may be a little too early, but we'll see.
