I'm thankful for the health of my children and family. I'm thankful that we don't always get what we want at the time that we want it (does that make sense to anyone other than me?)
I'm thankful for my husband and his good fortune in our business, and that he is willing to work 60 hours a week so that I can stay home and raise our family.
I'm thankful for my great friends and extended family, all of whom help at a moment's notice and without hesistation...especially my mom--who takes my children (all four of them) for one weekend a month, every month, so that my husband and I get some couple time.
I'm thankful for all of us PTA/Oers that work so diligently to ensure that our children are safe, healthy, and have the best future possible.
I'm thankful for friends, teachers and an amazing principal who are keeping me sane as we work through my son's newly developed "bad attitude". It's wonderful to have a school "family" who jumps in and helps when you're at your wit's end. I vow to work my tail off to make sure these amazing people have everything they need to keep providing the great education they want to give our children.
But today I'm especially thankful for a husband who knows I'm on the verge of insanity and has made plans to take me away for the weekend!!! Just the two of us!!!!
I am thankful for my son's teacher,SHE IS THE WORLD'S GREATEST FIRST GRADE TEACHER! She is so awesome with her "friends", as she calls them, I almost want to cry every time I'm in her class.
I am also thankful for two principals who back our PTA.
More personally I am thankful for my baby dude!
He was my miracle and not a day goes by that I don't thank God that he gave me this special child.
I also have to be thankful for a very supportive family, even my mom, who I think was a Jewish mother in another life. Boy, she knows how to lay on the guilt, but she's always there to keep Spencer if I have a special meeting or set-up for a PTA event, etc.
Besides family, because that's pretty much why we're here. Regardless of what your beliefs are, it is the beginning of a new year, new decissions, new dedications, we all have things that we want to change.
Tell us what you want.
I want to be a better person, more opened minded, more assertive, but not excessivly, more dedicated to my community, and the list could go on.
I just want to give back to those whose lives have touch mine and to touch someone else.
