Luvmykids, I grew up in Carroll County, went to college in Fort Dodge and married a man from Ames. We made our home in Des Moines before being transfered to Denver. I do get really homesick. Mom and Dad are still in Carroll County. Of all stupid things, no one sells Taco Pizza, you know like at Caseys...NO ONE out here! SO my kids would eat it every night if they could when we visit!
Good to hear Metz! Sorry about the embezzler. Maybe some time served is what she needs to think about what she did and how many kids will "suffer" from her selfish act.

okay metzy I will man the bar...although im not sure how much goes into what drink..should be a wild night! Just came home from our first meeting of the year. How the heck can you only have 5 new parents out of 250 families? I dont get it...UGH. Where are the peanuts Michelle? did you give them away as prizes?

I worked last night... my turn to drink! Our Fall Fundraiser did okay. Actually it did great considering that we only ran it 10 days, didn't harp at the kids to keep on selling, and the news of the embezzlement hit the front page on day two of the sale... we are going to clear a bit more than 12K. I had a chance to get 17K back from the embezzler, but she wanted us to sign a waiver of liability and responsibility. I told her this wasn't just about money... so needless to say, I got squat.
Move Over mykidsmom and pals... I need another cold one...

bartender saunter around the bar and takes off apron, checks herself in the mirror and straightens her hair a bit.
Ok girls... I am off to my first HSA meeting of the year.... and I get to sit in the back for the first time in (drumroll please someone) 5 years!!
Heck - I don't even have to go if I don't want too (never missed a meeting in that 5 years either)I am even bringing some friends out for a drink after said meeting.

Now ladies, I've been thinking about this one... We all need to move to Hawaii together and start our own school. I mean we work well together, we all have a sense of humor, we want the same things from PTO/PTA, and most of all we have all been dumped on by other people. Whatcha think? Any way pour me something new....make it strong, I survived pre-k today!!!! Hey, I can throw together a citrus salad real quick. gotta go for now...kids not allowed in the bar and they have to eat.(whine) I dont wanna cook!!!!!
