I had a meeting with our Kathryn Beich rep last week and she brought me a box of the fudge mix they are selling in the fall. It was so good, I thought I would bring some to our virtual site. I usually don't like mixes like this, but I was truely suprised.
Shawn, I used to work in a correctional facility. (Don't ask!)Anyway, I was doing a research paper and decided to talk to one of the staff psychiatrists and he informed me that sexual offenders could never be rehabilitated and take up about 25% of our facility and tend to get out quicker than the drug dealers who can be rehabilitated and take up almost 50% of our system. Then he said, what do you think would hurt more, someone selling you a joint or someone raping you. It made for a good paper.
Also, I have major issues with the death penalty, but have no problems with castration!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
