Oh Crew I feel for you and your son. Teenage romance is tough enough. The best tip I can think of is making sure the e-mail is up and running first thing when you get to the new house and give him some leeway on the long distance phone calls. Would her parents let her come for a visit?
Loads of laughs here Okay, I feel so much happier now. I made someone at work angry the other day. When they started acting all smart mouthed and arrogant I'd had enough and expressed my feelings. Yesterday I was invisible which made me want to ask him if he needed his mommy, today I am torturing him by asking him cheerful, friendly questions every time he walks by. It's killing him. I know, I know, Dr. Phil would tell me I'm being passive aggressive.....
Oh boy..... Today is going to be a very sad day at my house. My son is spending the afternoon with his girlfriend and it will be the last time they get to see each other before we move 1,000,000 miles away. OK, only from Illinois to Alabama but it might as well be a million miles. I'm already sad for him as I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday and that was hard enough.
If he were a girl, I'd stock the kitchen with chocolate everything. But I have no idea how to ease a boy's broken heart.....

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the
"Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and
certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
Lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the
ones that care.
"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.
It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz)
