One of the first rules I laid down when my husband and I got married was "If you don't like how I do it, do it yourself or don't complain" and it goes both ways. SO basically if I don't like how much oregano he puts in the sauce I say, "I'd like a shot at the sauce next time" or if he doesn't like how I organized his desk (and the 10 perimeter feet of junk around it) he says "Send me an email when you are going to do this again so I can supervise."
We got married right after I took a human growth and development class and I just tried to analyze who we are a bit and apply it to us. Basically, when we try not to say negative things (and you can tell) it's kinda funny and doesn't seem like criticism.
By the way, last time I cleaned his desk, he decided not to "supervise" again because I made him do WORK!!!!
I know that won't work for everyone but people who see the "positive forces" at work either think we are really civilized or totally batty. You all must come see!!!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

ya'll are cracking me up! aOK you are terrific! Maybe I should crack my C2. Oh, nevermind, my hubby wouldn't lift a finger and things would pile higher. Sorry, I am peeve. Been doing laundry all day and no one else wants to lift a finger to help. Then I get yelled out because the *&^% pants that I just hung to dry didn't get hung quite right. The crease was messed up. AGH - "DO YOUR OWN LAUNDRY" I am officially on strike.
