My husband says I'm a chihuahua who thinks it's a pit bull. That's true. He says that I'm really not that tough, he just lets me get away with a lot more meanness that most anyone else would.
Oh well. At least this time I had enough sense to call for help.
And for the record, chihuahuas can inflict a lot of damage in relation to their size. Before they get stepped on that is......

Our driveway of the old house used to be across from an alley. You would not believe how many people would drive into my backyard thinking it was part of the alley and then have to turn around because they met a fence and leave huge ruts in my yard, or better yet, get stuck and scare the crud out of me in the middle of the night.
A few years back, a house on our block got boarded up and the city was going to knock it down. I heard a crash one day and noticed 2 men going through the boarded up back door. I called the police only to find out they had purchased the house and were trying to get in to gut it and fix it. After being scared to death by the 3 police cars surrounding them in the house, they thought it was pretty funny and liked the idea of such observant neighbors.
I hope someone told your neighbor's son he needed to quit driving through your yard.
When we moved here, we called our neighborhood liason to speak with an immigrant family across the street because their teenage children thought it was ok to play music at all hours of the night from their vehicles and stand in the middle of the street (blocking it) with their friends and their loud stereos. As well as, to help us get rid of the people parking and drinking and littering on our little dead end street. Once they figured out that we didn't have any problem asking the police to inforce the law and they could be sent back to Mexico in a heartbeat, life's been pretty good. One lady even asked me to cut her son's hair when she saw me outside buzzing my 3 boys the other day.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

I'm getting addicted to ebay- sold my first item today and now I can't stop!
I did childcare for years for a little side cash... can't keep up with my own kids schedules let alone everyone elses kids. So I dropped doing child care. Thought I would give ebay a try.
Sorry about the Oldies--- meant the older stuff-
goodies for sure!
Any luck yet with down loads... if you do find please share my husband is looking too.
I have a very wooded yard and a path that runs through my yard from the old railraood bed. I have called the police on some weirdos-better safe than sorry.
Oooohhh Scary Moment today!!! I was on the back porch and saw a truck drive through my back yard, into the field behind my house and into an abandoned barn. Then, some very creepy looking and very large man popped out and slinked into the woods behind the barn, all the while looking and relooking over his shoulder like he was worried about being seen.
At first I started marching across the field to inform him that he just trespassed on private property and to "please not do that again, thank you very much!"
Then I got a flashing thought of what a 6' ft tall, 350 lb man could do to a 5' 5" tall, 150(ish) pound woman - in the woods - with no witnesses.
So instead I ran in the house and called the police. They responded right away (whew) and ran the plates on the truck. Turns out he's the son of the people who own the farm. They didn't see him but assumed he was working in one of several out buildings on the property. Yeah, that's what I assumed too, only in a much more sinister way.
Still, I don't know why he thought he could drive through my yard. Or why he had to look so creepy and suspicious. And now my neighbor's first impression of me makes me look kinda crazy......
Maybe I should back off the froofy coffees?
