The landscapers finished today. Now that the beds are finally under control I can take over and maintain them. The previous owners had beautiful landscaping done but then did nothing to maintain things for two whole years! It was too much overgrowth for me to handle. But I think I can take it from here.....

The pool was moving along nicely until they got about four feet into the ground and hit solid rock. It took two days for the jack hammer to break it up and get it out. We're back on track and should be finished just in time to get the cover on it for the winter. Oh well, that just means we'll be ready as soon as the warm weather returns.

Looks like I'll soon be able to add landscaper and pool girl to my resume.

VA... my best friend lives in Salem... anywhere near you? We went down to VA last year and LOVED it.
Also, my husband was offered a job with a race team in the carolinas-
Love the south, but our family ties us here. Snow is just around the corner for us. YUCK!

Hey CC--thanks for asking...the CT went well...not well enough for me to take off the collar and start driving but the "tech" said he no longer sees signs of the break (which is good). Another 6 weeks I suspect for all the inside stuff to keep healing and then I can be free and start to move my neck again. There was a considerable amount of pain when he turned my head to straighten my neck and start the CT but I suspect that is the result of immobilized muscles. Now if my face will stop drooping and feeling numb...oh well...
So tonight I have Open house for K-1 and we're doing day care...and a PTO table and unveiling out beautiful new outdoor classroom. We're getting photos posted on our website and I'll link you guys. It is amazing.

Our lunch menu (district wide) is now ALL healthy- which is great. they are now allowing class parties, but only for 45min's the 2nd wed of each month. Whatever!
My rant is all about before and after school times... telling me we can't even sell soda at football games or freeze pops at carnivals... we have to get approval for all "junk foods" whether they be for social/fun events or fundraisers.
I'll stop with the topic if you've all had enough.

OK, someone splain to me how the wellness policy that tells parents kids can no longer bring cupcakes to class for class parties, and in first week of school, the cafeteria not only serves cupcakes on the NSLP approved (at least i think , i better check that one) cafeteria tray, but the online (ie accessible by any wellness police officer if such exists) lunch menu shows the menu unabashedly: pizza and cupcake. talk about wellness politics, anyone? oh well, i will go have a nother cupcake now and forgetabout it.
