well, i get to start my field placement in a pre-k class tomorrow. I keep trying to tell myself that it is only for 3 months but argh!!!! i would much rather handle crazy PTO stuff then a bunch of pre-ker's. Why does a group of 4 year olds make me nervous?? Pray for me.
If you never hear from me again, i am stuck in the land of chicka chicka boom boom...........
you can put a search out for me..."Brown bear brown bear, do you see GaMom anywhere?"
Renee S! It's great to see you around. I too have been out of the 'paying' workforce for 12 years. You're an inspiration.
I just visited my old school's website. Guess what?!?! They're doing fine without me! Actually, better than fine. They're doing great. Really, it makes me very happy. They're brilliant, brilliant people and I hope they're hugely successful. I just wish they would've made it look a little hard to adjust......

"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the true perfection of one's character."
OMG! You all have been busy. I went back to work after 12 yrs. of being home and don't have much time for the computer. kinda hard trying to catch up on all the emails.
I decided no more soccer board but will keep at the pto.
My great teachers answered a survey at the end of school yr. All want more parent involvement but didn't say how and where. I guess I'll have to meet with them to find out.
First meeting is Wed. Hopefully I'll have a good turn-out. I need a treasurer.
Gotta go and write the agenda.
Compost Bin--NEVER would have thought of that but what a great idea a lesson for environmental stuff!!!!
Worm Bins--ahhhh, then maybe sell them to the local fishermen ...
our school just did a memorial garden for a gym teacher who was loved by all(passed away from cancer) - the kids put hand prints in pie plates of cement and used shells, marbles etc. to decorate. They became stepping stones. It was theraputic for kids too- a chance to say thank you and goodbye. The plants were all brought in by students- we ended up w/400.
No worm bins or stuff to grow and eat- just a quiet place to sit.
