JUST WAIT till you see the new Army uniform. It used to be the green one but now they are switching to the Blues dress uniform as the Class A (like a business suit). It is SOOO handsome. It comes from the cavalry time when the cav would go out in dark blue pants. Over time the pants would fade in the sun and when they put on the jacket it was a darker color blue. So eventually the Army encorporated that bit of heraldry by creating the "Dress Blues". It was considered one up from the Class A's (and then there's mess dress--very fancy). Recently a decision was made to make the Blues the "business suit". It's going to make the Army stand tall....finally something that is as nice as the old Eisenhower jacket.
Now that is WAY more than you wanted to know I'm sure!!!

Good morning everyone. Hope all of your kiddos are feeling better~I think mine is starting to.
My sympathies about your crazy carnival. I know how you feel This catalog sale is kicking my behind. I'm seeing those stupid packets in my sleep! I wish all those lazy parents would just hurry up and send them back to school, already!! There~ now that nastiness is out of the way:)
We have a 2hr. delay this morning! Tons of wind & rain, so we were watching for the bus from inside. 20 min. later, no bus. So I called school & the sec. told me there was no power anywhere in town~news to me. We are usually the first ones to lose it! So as I'm typing right now, I just heard the bus go by, 45 min. early! I guess I need to go take a shower so I can take little guy to school! Have a good day everyone!

Oh Scott sorry to hear about the ear infection. poor little guy! Will probably be fit as a fiddle the day after the carnival is over!
But what weird donations did you get? We got 4 dog toys. Don't even know where they came from, but we have them.
To all the mean parents in the world, "if the broom fits, RIDE IT!"
Did someone mention men in uniform and drinks? I think I can muster up a little more energy for that show!
2 cakes baked and all prepay ticket orders are filled. CSI NY (what I saw of it) was really good tonight.
This year we tried having families donate grade level themed items for raffle baskets. I don't know if the letter was too difficult or if it's just our parents, but it's been a big mess. I did find some inexpensive baskets in the craft section of walmart to use.
Irish coffee was one of my favorite drinks in college-enough caffine to keep you going and enough alcohol to lossen you up.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Sure, come on over. You won't be disappointed! Ooo, except my trainer is a killer so get ready. We do 'girlie' workouts, which mean those big, tough firemen can't keep up. But it sure is fun watching them try.
pssssst, Shawn, sounds like it's time to get your Air Force uniform out and dust it off. And bring the tequila.....
