Hi Gang -

Thanks for making me laugh today ~ it's been a week & it's only Tuesday. I guess I am letting frustration get to me. I am honored that so many believe in me & chose to devulge to me but it's taking it's toll. Tonight is pizza, drinks & 'stupid make you laugh' movie night. Any movie suggestions to get me out of this funk ...

Oh Scottmom, I was so proud of myself yesterday. I "got" this mom without even making it sound snotty. We're watching our sons' basketball practice and she says "Are the Halloween parties tommorrow? What time? I don't even know who the room mom is for X's classroom, she never called to ask for anything for the party." I asked her which classroom her son was in, she told me and I said, "Well, the Head Room Parent for MY son's room found out that classroom had no Head Room Parent so she is doing it too, I'm going to help her. She didn't call because she was fortunate enough that people had signed up at Open House to bring all the party supplies." The woman looked at me with this look of shame and said to tell this woman that she would be at the party and help with whatever she needed. I think I might have got a Head Room Parent for that class!

Shawn, you reminded me of the story my daughter came home with yesterday. In the school district's infinite wisdom, they have gone to only providing middle schoolers with PE for one quarter of the year. It's a long story that only gets me mad when I explain it so I'll spare everyone. Anyway my daughter started her PE quarter yesterday. The PE teacher takes them outside and tells them she wants them to do two laps around the football field(1/2 mile total). Daughter says that only 6 kids ran the whole distance and she was the only girl. 3 of the 6(including daughter) were on the cross country team. She said a lot of the girls didn't run at all, but walked the ENTIRE way. No, we don't need more physical education in our schools and sitting in front of the TV and computer doesn't affect your health. UGH!!!

Hubby and I met and dated in high school. We have a mutual agreement to not discuss certain things.
