Nope, I didn't see that show. Based on a lot of posts on these boards, though, it sounds like plenty of people could relate!

Seem like the bar in here has been closed longer than usual..... Maybe Shawn will bring some nice cold Coronas back from the beach. He doesn't even have to brush the sand off of them first. ;)

Oh goodness - I'm starting to understand my super hyper kitten's behaviour. I just found her with her nose down in hubby's coffee cup. That's two new things on my agenda, break kitty's caffeine habit and retrain hubby about putting his morning coffee cups in the sink. I came home this afternoon after being gone only 3 hours and found several half empty coffee cups around the house. Seems that, left on his own, hubby loses track of his cups. 24 years and I'm still learning new things about him!

Did anyone catch Close to Home tonight? Murder in the PTA. What an interesting plot, I'm sure no one here ever thought of that.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

We haven't had the orientation meeting as of yet. Her dad and I are undecided - but she is ALL in. I want to wait and see what is involved and of course the financial side of it. Even though my ex and I have mainted a great friendship - we are still doing 2 households on one income. So --- it's wait and see.

I think I may mosey on down to the bookstore this weekend. I don't have any test or projects demanding my attention ( can't belive it!), so I think I need a good book.

You'd like him, T, if you like non-fiction. Technically, they're in the travel writing section at Barnes & Noble. The audio books are best because then you get his voice along with it and that's 80% of the fun! He grew up in America but then moved to England as an adult so he has a mixed accent.

What did you and your daughter decide about the P2P stuff?

I'm done with the gub. race (yes - pun inteneded!). The race here has been SO nasty and negative - none of us can make heads or tails of the canidates and their positions!

CC - I envy you! I haven't been able to find a new author that has struck a cord with me in a while. It has been hit or miss for me for the last few months and it stinks! I might give your guy a try!

Note to Shawn - Dude, you are soooo lucky to be at a warm sandy beach. It is friggin COLD here!
