Hmmm, sleep. I'm in a bad habit myself. When I get overloaded, I lay awake thinking of all the things I need to do the next day. Then, I'm too tired the next day so I take a quick nap. Then I toss and turn again at night. It's a viscious cycle.

I'm ashamed to say that I fell asleep. The last thing I remember is Condoleeza Rice smiling and shaking hands with everyone as she came in. I didn't even wake up for Boston Legal. I must get over this sleeping pattern I am in---waking up 3 and 4 times a night. I am exhausted, so when I sit down and get all snuggly warm I just doze right off.

Right back at you with that 'Morning'! We had the President on the tv but were working while listening so present but not 100% listening. I have been relying on recaps to help fill in the blanks this morning. Should be an interresting last 2 years to say the least.
Have a good day everyone!

I take a day off and I miss so much!

Scottmom, your family is in my prayers.

If I hear one more person in my house say "My stomach hurts really bad." I'm going to scream. Son stayed home yesterday, daughter is home today. Please let that be it! It is interesting to see the difference in the pain threshold between the two kids. My son would curl up in a ball with tears in his eyes when the stomach cramps set in while my daughter just looks kind of pale and sad and barely says "ouch".

We are having a Family Night this week. I'm trying to get everything pulled together. Did luck out this year with help. The first 2 years it was just me and one other person. This year I have 3 others helping with planning and organizing and tons of helpers for that night. I keep feeling like it's all too easy and I must be forgetting something, then I realize there are other people taking care of things instead of me doing it all! It's a weird feeling.

Mornin' everyone. Anyone watch the State of the Union Address last night? I wasn't home so I missed it. I forgot to take my headphones with me to the gym this morning so all I could do was watch the news trailers on the bottom of the screen. John McCain was on and the quote under him said "I'd rather lose a campaign than lose a war." See. That's exactly why this man should be president. He's so much more worried about our country than his own popularity. I'll never understand a primary system that weeds out and throws away all of the real, viable candidates and leaves us with a polished, smiling Stepford pool of robots to choose from. Real people need to be in positions of power.
