We received our congradulations letter on the 28th of December for $5,000 also! I never would have known about the grant if it wasn't for PTO Today!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Congrats to the groups that received the grant! How exciting! I'd like to apply on behalf of our PTO. Would anyone like to share their application...specifically the volunteer plan, project budget, and detailed budget??
We were just notified on Thursday that our PTO has been awarded $5,000.00 from Lowe's Grant. We are very excited. Thank you to PTO Today, we will have never known about this without you. FYI we are about 80 miles from the closest Lowe's, but they are opening one about 40 miles from us in about few weeks. So I don't think distance is really a issue.
I have several questions about which grant we should/could apply for from Lowes. We need money for a new playground and I can't tell if we should apply for the toolbox grant or the Lowe's charitable & educational foundation grant? The next question does my being a Lowes employee pose a problem to applying for the grant? Should I let someone else do it? And lastly (sorry) is there a deadline for the LCEF grant? I could not find one on the website or in the employee literature I got from our HR. I know I can't ask my HR person about this because they literally know nothing about the grants.
