Well, our principal told me I could not speak to the Superintendent without getting her permission. Wow! As a parent it is my right to talk to the superintendent and as a parent I would also e-mail anyone I wanted to!
Geez...power trips...perhaps?

Question - you're right to suspect that there is more to the story. Sadly, it seems the principal is up to even more wrong doing than this one post indicates. Check out flagirl7's thread under Teachers/Principals: SUNSHINE LAW
I suspect we're talking about the same principal on both of these threads....

While I am in the majority ... NO to reading emails - one has to ask what is the real reason behind the request. Perhaps someone has read more into a past email and made some comments. While most can see emails in their true form there are those that read way to deeply into the written word without asking the originator for clarification. While the request is insane it may be worth the inquiry and perhaps discussion among the board for sanity sake.
I think I would up that to 100 times a day! the only way I would say yes if it was something being sent to everyone on the school email lists. i dont know if all of your parents get these emails or just a few...heck how are you suppose to talk about him if he is reading it! hee hee hee
