Been there done that! She would probably appreciate your advice and support. Keep offering your help. Explain to her that you feel a little empty handed, perhaps she has a special project you could handle.
This forum was a BIG help to me during my transition. Hang in there.
No, You should still stay involved in your group. Now you can enjoy all your school's events on a different level. Not having to worry about all the little details. Offer your help to the new President. That might help her feel more comfortable to come to you when she needs your advise.
Hi everyone.... School just started & I am feeling kinda sad & left out.
I was the PTA president for the past 2 years and before that I was the secretary. Now I am nothing... I worked so hard for our PTA & school the last few years, and I feel my board made a huge difference at our school.
I don't want to overstep the new president (she & I are very different but we get along on a professional level!!) and I don't want to be difficult but I still want to help.
Should I still keep offering help or step back & let her do things her way?? I am feeling sad afterall this group was my life for the past years. I know I need to get a life!! Any advice???
