NEED HELP WITH RUDE PTO PRES.

21 years 6 months ago #97822 by crazyforPTO
I need some advice. When the school year first started I was really excited about being VP. I told the Pres. at our first meeting I woulld help her with anything I could, that way I would know more about what to do when I'm Pres. next year. She said I may want to be Pres. for 3 years. We are a K-2 school. Since I have been in PTO the VP always moves up to Pres. the next year. (The Pres. is only Pres. 1 year.) The current Pres. is new to PTO she had never even been a chair before. (The VP decided last minute not to be PRes.) I have tried to work with her, however she has just been doing EVERYTHING herself. Lots of MOM's are upset because they haven't been called to help with anything. My new dilema is what should I do? We don't have any bylaws, like I said the VP just moves up to Pres. To make things even more complicated, our principal and the PTO Pres. hand pick the officers for next year. I have emailed our principal letting him know I am interested in being Pres. but really haven't gotten a real answer from him on what he's planning. We don't ever have general PTO mettings that re open to everyone and we haven't even had a meeting of the Board since the beginning of December. Other officers are upset with the way things have gone this year too!! I don't think I can work with her again next year!
Let me know what you think I should do!!
