we've also been using ( myschoolonline.com/golocal/)
and have had great communication lines with those that needed to help us(me) with a couple of items. Also word comes down that myschoolonline has no intention of charging for their websites so the rumor is in error (not sure about the source or such). I do like the fact that I can change something and then it's changed, no waiting on the school district webmaster, or such person. Just explore the other sites and have some fun.
Also I understand that the school districts have certain things that they will not let you place on the PTA/PTO site since it stems from the school district site - like legislative things, if I recall correctly.
I like what I see with the geocities.yahoo.com/home)
but don't know anything about it or it's support staff.
Also, when I was researching doing the two sites I agreed to set up in April a peer advised me about the delay she experiences with the ( www.homestead.com/
) site.
Hi all. Thanks for your suggestions. I did some more research today and found a great place to publish our site...and it's free with only a small ad on it. Check it out at: www.geocities.com/jrelemschool/index.html
I would appreciated some feedback, let me know what you think and anything that could be added.
Thanks!
Barb, PTO President
Juliodio, Just tried your link and cannot find your site. I did find the link to tripod free web site info-go to www.tripod.lycos.com/about/move.html
I have heard that www.homestead.com
is a free server. Unfortunately when it is free there is usually a lot of advertisement. I was going to check into myself since rumor has it that myschoolonline may start charging. Also check and see if your local library or city, or school district web sites will carry you.
