Tim, thanks for the info. Trying to sell this in our schools but some concern about the ads.

Yes, very excited about how this can serve groups.

Constant Contact is the backbone, and the main service is the same as paid CC. But there are a couple of differences.

1. It's just for parent groups (PTOs and PTAs and the like).
2. There will be an ad or ads in the email.
3. There are only 2 templates to choose from (newsletter and general announcement); whereas paid customers have many more.
4. There is a recipient limit (believe it's something like 2,000) that's big enough for 99% of PTOs that paid accounts don't have (or that is much bigger for paid accounts.

PS. RE: the ads. The ads will be all supplied by/sold by our company. They'll be family-focused/family friendly, similar to what you see on Schoolfamily.com - Helping parents help their kids succeed at school

This is hopefully going to be perfect for our school. Can you tell us if the free version offers the same features as the paid version of Constant Contact or if there are differences?

Looking forward to test-driving this service!

Currently our middle school PTO coordinates and pays for the mailing of a monthly newsletter to our parents. The newsletters invariably show up after the month has already started, so sometimes parents miss out on things and sometimes the parents never even get the newsletter. This would be a great cost saving option, more efficient, and probably more likely to be received and read.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Thought you guys might like an advance look at our newest tool. I think it's going to be a huge help for groups. The tech folks behind it are from Constant Contact, the leading email newsletter company int he country.
