You may also want to create a certificate of appreciation so they can hang it up in their store. It shows their customers that they are community minded and that says a lot about the manager or owners of the establishment. I also sent a letter to the editor thanking local agencies (fire, police & sheriff's dept) for participating in our fall festival/safety awareness festival. It doesn't hurt to spread the word to the rest of the community of who helps out the area schools!

On behalf of the XYZ Number of students of XYZ School, thank you for your support!

We've sometimes had the kids draw "thank you" pictures and each letter was accompanied by a hand-drawn picture. Those were fun and well-appreciated!

Dear XYZ,

We would like to thank you for your generous donation of xxxxxx for our Winter Carnival. The event was a huge success raising over $5000 for our school! The money raised will be used for xxxxxxx. Without the support of businesses like yours, we would not be able to provide items like this. You are helping to make our school and our community a better place.

Sincerely,

ABC PTO

It's nice if the notes can be handwritten, but they should at least be signed by either the PTO President or head of the carnival committee. Putting them on nice paper if you are typing them makes them special.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

I am looking for a sample Thank You Letter for businesses & parent volunteers that donated time or money for our Winter Carnival. It was a huge success. We cleared $5000. Not bad for our 1st carnival!
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
