I would look at as that you two oversee things. Yes you have to make decisions, but they should be based on the input of your members and what is best for your organization as a whole.

Oh boy. As president of my last group for three years, I saw how easy it would be for a leader to control the team's work. I worried a lot that I had more influence over activities, voting, etc than the position warranted. I worked very hard to get members more actively involved in the decision making process.
One or two people should not have that kind of power. It's a team effort. Ulitmately, the president is just one vote - and sometimes only in the case of a tie. It's usually a democracy.
Check out your bylaws to see what they say about voting: What requires a vote, who can vote, etc. Share that info with your president. Maybe the 'power' is going to her head and she needs to be grounded by reality.
I think the quickest way to lose valuable team members is to treat them like they don't matter or that they are just your little worker bees. Your president is risking the future of the team for her little power trip.

Wow! That's exactly what we are trying to keep everyone from thinking. Has the pres been the one making all of the decisions all along?
I would be concerned and ask pres why just the 2 of you should be making the decisions. What makes the board & their input mute?
I guess that if the pres feels that it's the 2 of you, you need to get the board member input and put aside your own thought if it is different from the rest of the board as a whole.
You should get lots of good thoughts and advice on the best way to proceed from several posters around here.
But since Tim is doing some housecleaning this weekend - it may be slow with replies. But you'll get them soon

I am a little befuddled... My pres just told me (vp) that WE are the ones who make all the decisions regarding our group. That the other board members do not have any say in what we do or how we do it.
This concerns me as I value our board members input, opinions and quite often help in deciding on how things go.
