The glass half empty

What do you do with a board member who just seems to find fault with EVERY idea that is presented. She is so negative that it is depressing. At first I thought it was just me she was going after since she seems to have a particular dislike for me, but the President is feeling it too. Then yesterday I hear from another board member that she is really getting tired of it and now today the President told me she's heard from some of our membership too.

I feel like telling her that if she doesn't have anything positive or constructive to say to just shut her mouth. No one's ideas are perfect(except mine of course-Ha, Ha!), that's why they throw them out at meetings hoping to get feedback. It just gets so discouraging and I'm worried that she'll eventually hurt the group by stifling any new ideas, and probably drive some people away.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
