I agree with LUVMYKIDS. Tell them they need to make some decisions to correct their screw-up OR either someone else has to do it or the event won't take place.
I would definitely speak up. Who changed the dates? Why? I would let them know all the work you have done already and the planning that went into it. Tell them about the Haunted House and the Halloween dinners. Perhaps they can rethink their decision (whoever they are)
You poor thing! I love it when a group of people make a big decision without consulting everyone involved in the event. My temptation would be to go to this group and tell them what you had planned and ask them for ideas to take the place of the haunted house. I would also give them the useless prizes and the prize order and ask them how to handle those items. Basically, put it in their laps so YOU aren't the one left to fix everything all by yourself. Be nice, just express your frustration, and tell them that you really need help or you're going to have to let someone else take over, because you're stuck on what to do. OK, I am ready to scream. How can people be such idiots????? They have changed the date of our festival from the week before halloween to nov 13. This really "messed" (being polite) me up as I do the haunted house and for our raffle prize I had a halloween dinner donated and for bingo prizes I had tickets to the local haunted western town. I want to kill someone!!!!!!!!! Now those are useless and what do I do with them? I don't know weather to bother with a haunted house or not. I mean, It's 2wks after halloween and it takes me 3 weeks to do the thing. I am so disgusted with people who want to make dates but don't do any of the work. I am about ready to say the heck with pto. Then, to not kill me enough here, they cut the budgets for the prizes to 350.00 whereas when I was making an order they were going with 450. Now I have to figure out a way to cut the order by 100. Is this worth it?!?!I really have to think about this cause right now i don't even want to particapate anymore. Thanks for letting me vent.
