I run two scrip programs one for a public school that sells about $25,000 a year in paper scrip and a private school that sells over $1,000,000 a year in paper scrip. Those number go higher when you toss in the electronic/paperless scrip programs we have in our area.
I use QuickbBooksPro (we previously used Quickbook but it didn't handle the inventory and we had to track that seperately in excel spreadsheets).
Most importanly you need to put in lots of safety checks by balancing your inventory weekly no matter how small your program is. Make sure more than one person knows how to do each part of the proces so you (the major player) aren't always on duty. Things happen you might need a break. Finding a great software program is an ultimate part of you success!
Ask around your Parent Club or PTA and see if you have any parents for are Accountants/Bookkeepers and familier with Quickbooks or other similiar program that can help you set it up so you'll be on track and have smoother sailing for succes!
Gook Luck!

I don't recall receiving the excel program... could you please resent... we are going to vote at our next meeting to start scrip but yet have all the details in place, this program would be most helpful!
