Hi Robin,

I would also like a copy of your Excel spreadsheet.

I'd also like to know if any of you are familiar with any of the Scrip software programs. At the Great Lakes Scrip web site they have a list of programs available and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with them.

Thanks

My husband helped me put our order form into an excel spreadsheet, double column double sided paper. If someone wants me to I can e-mail it to them, but we haven't tried posting it on-line.

Hi Robin,
I would love any information you can email me abou the spreadsheet for the scrip.
thank you so much.

Hi,
We are a small catholic school with only 100 families and are in the second year of doing a scrip program with GLSC and they have been a great company to work with. We made about $1000 last year with this program and we are hoping to do more this year. We set up a schedule at the beginning of the school year letting everyone know when we will be sending in our orders, this year we are doing it every two weeks, last year it was only about once a month. Our scrip coordinator sent home to everyone a big list of all companies and percentages offered and order forms and sends new order forms home every so often or they are placed at school for you to pick up as needed. We except checks or cash. Our HSA also purchases cards to have on hand for area grocery stores & restaurants. Participation is up this year, we've made about $700 so far but I think it could be so much better. Any ideas how we could get more families to participate would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Becky

I have run our Scrip program for the last 3 years. Weare a small school of about 300 students. About 90 families participate in our program - this is about the average for the last 3 years also. I use GLSC and have had GREAT results! They are very easy to deal with and you can actually talk to a person if you have questions. I just started using NE scrip co also this year. They are good and easy to deal with. They are smaller than GLSC and did have some problems the week before Christmas filling my order. I think that as they get a little bigger and used to the holiday rush they should be better by next holiday season.

We only take cash or check - we looked into taking credit cards but since they take a % of our sales we ruled that out.

I also have my order form on an Excel spreadsheet. I try to send it home every-other-week in the kids folders and we also post it on our web site ( www.penryn.org ) so that parents and friends can get to it. I am at our school on Tue mornings and Fri Afternoons for in-person sales. Otherwise the orders are sent into the front office and I pick them up and fill them throughout the week.

Check with your local grocery stores. Ours gives us a 5% discount if we purchase at least $1000 at a time. Kohl's also has a similar program. Kohl's will mail the cards directly to you but the grocery stores require you to pick it up at the store and pay for it then so this could get time consuming.

Feel free to e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have more questions.
