I just received 4 parkhopper passes to Disney World here in FL. I looked up the address on Hoover.com. It was funny cause that is not what I asked for--I asked for toys but beleive me I am not complaining.
C'mon you guys. Don't be discouraged if they say 'no.' It sheer numbers. Everyone has their hand out.
My boss has a small charitable trust and you wouldn't believe the flood of unsolicited mail he receives (and I have to process).
My best success is to call. Have a script in case you get their voice mail (and YOU WILL be put through to voice mail).
Use voice mail etiquette.
0.5 practice your script.
1. Speak Clearly.
2. Say your name, your phone number, what organization you are with, and pitch why you're calling them.
3. Thank them for their time. Donor relations is sometimes an "add on job" to someone's already busy schedule.
4. End the call by saying again your name and phone number.
4.5 That way they don't have to listen to your entire message to get your name and number.
If you do get something, how DO YOU THANK YOUR donors?
A nice thank you letter to the donor with a report of the outcome of the event is always appreciated and is sometimes posted in the employee lounges.
I'm sorry, I posted the wrong one. I was in a real hurry when I posted that one and was looking at the one below it. I contacted them thru the contact us section of the webpage and they e-mailed me back with the information to either mail them or fax them. Unfortunatly, I didn't keep either one. I was cleaning out some stuff and I guess it was stuck to the back of another paper that I threw out. If you can get them to donate, they give some great stuff. I have art sets, beanbag toys(you color) BRATZ artsets, metalics, body glitter pens, art sets in cases, color your own mugs, and I forgot whatelse. Great stuff. Some of it I am going to use as raffle prizes as it is so nice.
hi, where did you find an address for rose art crayons on their web page? All I can find is an email for "contact us" or an address for returns. (is that the one you used?) thanks, maggie
