So far, I've had success with Circuit City (wow - we got the $100 gift card, too!), American Girl, AAA, our local zoo, our local television stations (tee-shirts, hats, and a studio tour from one of them), tickets and merchandise from local sports teams, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Lowe's, Sears, Old Navy, Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, Meijer, Best Buy, the planetarium and children's museum. Other than Circuit City and AAA, I applied for donations at the local franchise, not through the corporation. I'm still trying on some others.
I've been turned down by Crayola (Binney-Smith), Mattell, Media Play, Toys R Us and Fisher Price. More rejections to come, I'm sure. Haha. I'm a horrible solicitor!
Does anyone know if Target has an in-store donation request process? I know the corporation only gives grants, but I wondered if the individual stores had money allocated for local giving.
