I'd be interested to know about the Hopper passes too--From my and other's dealings with Disney I never knew them to ever give something away when they could get money for it!
I was wondering if you could tell me how you guys got the airfare donated? Also the hopper passes? We're having a silent auction next year and those would be great auction prizes!
We did a spring fundraising raffle this year. Our prizes were...
1st a trip for 4 to Disney World including airfare, accomodations and 5 day park hopper passes.
2nd a two night stay at Kalahari resort and water park and
3rd was 4 season passes to Great America.
We had the tickets made in groups of 5 with a sixth ticket of a different color. Each ticket was $5 and for every 5 a student sold they filled out that sixth ticket and their name was entered into a "kids" raffle and those prizes were one x-box and 12 chances at $25. We raised over $18,000 after our expenses. We got the air fare donated and 4 one day hopper passes. We got a discount on one of the nights at the water park but everything else we paid for. It wasn't as great as it could have been but it was better than our spring catalogs ever brought in. We're thinking about doing another one next year.

I wonder if you could get the same kind of deal for a motorcycle or a jet ski? Get it at cost then raffle it. There wouldn't be so much pressure to sell expensive tickets.
Our raffle had two parts - 1 adults got $50 in gift certificates to grocery stores and 2 kids got a $25 Walmart gift certificate. I didn't hear the total it brought in but I know it was in the hundreds.
There's another raffle I have heard of called a 50/50 raffle. The winner gets 50% of the raffle ticket sales. You keep a talley of the tickets and post what the "pot" is so far. Finish the raffle before the auction closes and you get most of the money back usually.
