One thing our kids love doing is "bobbing for donuts". I can't stand the idea of the traditional bobbing for apples (so unsanitary) so we tie donuts to a string that is suspended from a hook so we can move it up and down depending on the height of the child (and to sometimes make it fun by moving it up just when they think they caught it). We tie shorter strings to the donuts and then tie that string to the longer one (that way, we have clean string for each donut). This year, we've decided to use candy gummy rings (like the peach rings and apple rings) per request of some of the kids.
at my church, we are doing a wheel of fortune, sack race, pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern, a duck pond, bobbing for apples, 3 legged race, go fishing, yard darts, and pyramid of cans. hope that helped!!
