We have a Fall Festival every year and the game the students seem to love the most is called Marble Fishing. We use a kiddy pool with no water but several hundred marbles in the bottom. Four students at a time can play. The students remove their shoes and socks. They stand at each side of the pool and pick up and place the marbles into a bucket outside of the pool for one minute. The student who gets the most marbles in the bucket in one minute wins. I must warn you as the students get older so does the smelly feet. Bring your lysol!
Love the ideas on this thread. Here are some additional games:
Pumpkin Bowling: Use a pumpkin as a bowling ball. Aim it at tin cans, toilet paper, or other "pins". If you make faces on the toilet paper, they will look like ghosts!
Candy Corn Bean Bag Toss: Construct a board in the shape of a candy corn. Cut a hole into each color of the board (white, yellow, and orange). Have the kids throw bean bags into the holes, with prizes awarded based on where their bags were thrown.
Our school is small from Pre-K to 12th grade we have 375 students. Our fall festival we have a Take A Chance booth. We get local business in the area to donate items. We get cash, gift certificates, items from their store. We sell tickets for 25 cents each. You have to be present when your name is drawn the gifts will not be held for you. We also sell chances for you to win a 100.00 in cash. Last year we were able to get some port a cools donated and we sold chances to win these also. Then we have games for the kids priced 50 cents to 1.00 each and they win prizes, we also have a cake walk and bingo. Last year we raised 3500.00 for our carnival which was held one night.
It is a great time for members of the community to get together and visit with each other and a safe place for the kids to have fun.
We have also done a PTO Trunk or Treat. The PTO provided the candy and bagged it up and parents decorated their cars and the kids were able to Trick or Treat before the carnival.
