Healthy Fundraising Ideas

How about a healthy citrus fundraiser? They work just like a cookie dough or candy where you presell, but you are selling a healthy alternative to traditional fundraising items - one that your supporters need and want to buy.

This isn't strictly "healthy", but we do well with a Mixed Bag fundraiser. They're pretty, recycled material bags of all sorts. People don't buy useless junk that way.
We also do a spring jog-a-thon. Why so many walk-a-thons? Kids are young-- they can, and should run!

Wow!
Sounds like the salsa fundraiser was a huge hit! Great news and good luck with the spring walk-a-thon!

Thank for all the ideas!!! a Walk a Thon sounds like a great idea for the Spring. We just wrapped the salsa fundraiser and we sold 2,763 jars making $9,670 profit!!! The healthy idea was a hit! I hope we can continue this momentum into the Spring!

We do a walk-a-thon each year. We use a walk-a-thon company and they take care of most of it. We get 70% for our PTO. They do a kick off assembly two weeks prior. They provide posters, do billing after event and also late notices after 30 days. One gentleman works the day of the event, brings music, water and gatorade for the walkers. All checks are made out to the PTO. They provide prizes too! Our PTO is limited on members that are able to work, so it works good for us. Something to consider.
