The program at www.read-a-thon.com expands the universe of people who can support a fundraiser and gives a compelling reason to donate.

I have just been elected PTO President and love these suggestions. I am going to start planning and getting input early. I am a Parent and now a Grandmother. I think people would like to see some different things other than wrapping paper and magazines and all the usual. Thanks again.

We do a color run. You can use a company (boosterthon.com I think) or do it yourself. It fun, gets the kids moving and you can make a good profit from it.

We also do pictures with Santa or a picture in front of a Christmas tree. The cost is $5 each and we usually make a little over $1,000.

It's our best fundraiser! We're adding a spring carnival because we make more than on fundraisers. Sell Costo Pizza for $2 a slice, Nachos $1, ice cream sandwiches or otter pops are great! We had a contractor build us a corn hole game and lumber was around $35. Kelly Moore donated paint. Have a game building contest to get games made that you can keep in return they get a great prize. Getting volunteers was the hard part.
