Just want there to be a record of yet another school who had an insanely horrible experience with Desktop School Supplies. I don't see how they could be in business anymore.
HUGE amount of supplies missing (markers, paper products, glue, highlighters, spirals, crayons, etc.) When they did send them in (much months later), they just shipped everything together so WE had to then organize it all into bags and deliver it to the classes. It took days and lots of volunteers.
As with many parents at my child's school, I never received entire order. They have not issued a refund and correspondence has been difficult. The failure of desktop school supplies likely will hinder future fundraising efforts.
Have you tried Schoolkidz? They offer the discount upfornt also, and allow you to mark up the kits if you wish. You can go to their website, it's teachertailored.com
My sons school has used them for year now and no problems. the best part is they are part of Staples.
Hi all. I'm new here and also the new president of our parent group. We are planning on doing the supply box thing for next year and I will not be using Desktop so I'm glad I found this post.
The two companies that I have been researching and getting quotes from are School Tool Box (STB, which sounds like a good one) and USA School Supplies. Just curious if anyone here has used USA and what their feelings are about this company. Our group liked the fact that they just do a straight 10% back to the school without having to worry about markups which is how you make your profit with STB. We are planning on doing this as a fundraiser.
Anyone with any more opinions on either of these companies or any other companies that have not been posted yet I would greatly appreciate.
Yes...after threatening legal action and calling DAILY to their corporate location we finally got all of our product...2 months late....but the product is all here at least.
