If you are looking for something simple and easy, we do a nacho, candy bar, coke sale. We have just over 300 students and clear $400-500 per sale. We go to Sam's for the chips and cheese. Heat the cheese in the crock pot in the morning. We use 2-3 boxes of chips and 2 cans of cheese, thinned with milk or water. We purchase candy bars when they are on sale at 3/$1. We sell nachos for $1, candy bars, $1 and cokes .50. O yea, in the south all sodas are called "cokes", so let me be more specific. We have Coke and Sprite. Our local Coke distributer will donate to our school a couple of times a year for events and we use any left over for the sale, the rest we purchase when 2 liters are on sale. Also, our local fast food restuarants are so good to donate cups and other items to help us through the year. I know some schools might frown on the "non-healthy" snack, but ours doesn't mind letting the kids have this as a treat 4 or 5 times and year. The kids LOVE it and our parents are very supportive of this fundraiser. Of course you won't make a killing, as they say, but it is a decent fundraiser especially if you need to raise funds quickly for something. A major fundraiser at our school that raises over $5000 (remember, 300 students), is Home Interior candle sale. We have a rep that will do all the packaging and sorting for each classroom, so not too much work on the schools part.
We Are New Pto Just Starting Out With Absolutly No Funds. I Have Been Looking Into Different Fundraisers I.e. Worlds Finest Chocolates, Pizzas, And Holiday Gifts. Im Just Not Sure About A Good Percentage Kick Back Or What Is A Good Company To Go With. I Would Like To Know Of Some Companies That Others Have Used That Have Been Successful. We Are In A Low To Mid Income Area That Has Had Very Little Community Support In Previous Years So We Are Working On Changing That. Any Idea, Suggestions, Or Fundraiser Company Help You Could Give Would Be Greatly Appriciated
