I know you've sent out info to a ton of people, but could you send the yearbook info to me too? Thanks! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Send me your email, and I'll copy the info I sent to Mandy above. It's a really long email and I'd rather not post it here. I have more info than you'd probably ever want!

I too am in the planning stages for an elemetary yearbook. We have had one in the past and would really like to do it again. Any help you can provide is most appreciative! My email is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Makes sense.
Our elem schl never had yearbooks either, not til middle school .
Whats a K or 1st/2nd grader going to remember from those early yrs anyway.
They dont start evedn making solid friendships til about3rd....the year books in elem schl are more for the ADULTS, because THEY want them.
And if the 4th and 5th graders really want one, they are old enough to design their own and produce it with light supervision. Thereby they also learn to do something they really wanted in the first place, and it will have tons more meaning than something the adults put together anyway.
If you want to see what children can do, you must stop giving them things. Norman Douglas
I never understood the elementary school yearbook. This past year, no one wanted to head it up, so we didn't do it. Towards the end of the year about 10 people, out of 800 students wondered where the yearbook was. I hope we never have one again! The year before only about 300 students bought one and we lost money, after working 1 woman and a few kids to death. On top of that, the money that we were told would be used from the picture sales was kept by the school and not given to the PTO. We said that if the school wants that money, they can deal with the yearbook.
