This is the second year that I am chairing the yearbook commitee. THis year we are doing an all digital book with summer delivery, all color and 68 pages with soft cover. It is costing us 11.76 per book. We presold them for $14.00.

We use interstate publishing. They have a website and the software is great. No cutting and pasting necessary. If you'd like more info feel free to contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
THanks

Reading above I see that many elementary schools have the yearbook available for every grade. Our school is pre-k thru 6th grade. Our year book is only for the 6th graders and we mkae them ourself. Our PTA provides us $100 towards them. We have 35 6th Graders. We like Diane K have an Art contest for the front cover. Our students draw a picture of the front of the school. This year the Art Teacher will judge it. I do like Diane's idea of all the art entries to be added in the book.

The front/back cover are 60lb card stock with heavy lamination. We use the plastic Spiral Binder. Type of heavier gloss paper for the color pages.

We try to get donations from various places mostly that sell office products. This year I do not believe we will have to use the $100 budget so we are able to transfer this money to the 6th grade graduation gifts.

**Front Page: Art drawing contest front of school.
**Dedication Page: This is a page the yearbook is to a person. Usually a teacher, Principal, Janitor, Lunch Aid, Nurse...etc

Inside consist of:
*Profile Page (In Color) for each 6th grader, art picture, photo list about 14 favorites they have and their name spell out with a word for each letter of their first name. (I can send you an example (its cute)
*Letter from each teachers k thru 6th to the students
*pages or pictures from k thru 6th (black and white/color)
*Their past class photo's k-6th with students names listed underneath
*autograph pages
*I am sure I am missing more.

My daughter (6th grader) is putting together a Power Point Presentation with pictures thru the years to give to each of her classmates. I am going to try to alter it to be able to watch thru Tv-DVD Player.

We are currently putting it together the year book but I can send you some examples of the layouts if you are interested.

excuse typos.... Isabel
