You're right mum, "Anthony" always rushed home on Wednesday as "mama" called from the window from blocks away. Growing up, we lived across the street from a boy named nthony and everytime his mom would call him, we'd all shout the neighborhood for "ANNTHHHONNY! It's Prince spaghetti day!" SHEESH....the memories that certain things can spark!
Prince (it's a pasta company) must be based in New England--when I grew up in Massachusetts, we all knew that Wednesday was Prince spaghetti day! If I recall correctly, there was this commercial with a woman yelling out her window for "Anthony" to come home for his spaghetti.... (Wonder how much I'm dating myself with this one?? LOL)
backhoed,
We contacted Prince. They provided a ton of spaghetti and t-shirts. We took pictures of the teachers and officers that served food wearing the shirts. That was all they asked for in return.
Casinos? Really. I tried to get many of the Atlantic Casinos to donate "something, anything" for our Winter Wonderland tricky tray last year and not one single one would do it. Most of the responses were that they "get so many requests...yadda yadda yadda". Kudos to you for doing that. Maybe (and I am not sure where you are) the casinos out west are more generous. The ones here in the east are pretty stingy from what I have seen.
