If you have an Atlantic Bread Company near you, whatever they don't sell in baked goods they donate! You just need to be there at closing! What goes with pasta...bread!

Does anyone know if the CT casinos are willing to donate stuff to PTOs?

Woohoo! Free spaghetti.
That's great. We're doing a spaghetti dinner soon. Thank you sooo much.

You asked for other freebies, well, I don't know it there's a lot of call for it, but -
I have found several sites that give away educational posters and coloring & activity books.
Here are a couple. If you like them and want more, I can track down the others.

Here are four agencies that have tons to offer:
www.fema.gov/kids/freebie.htm

The EPA has more posters you can order than are listed on the previous site. www.epa.gov/epahome/educational.htm

Of course, there's always good ol' ed.gov where you can find more parent and teacher help/information than you can probably read in a lifetime.

This is their search address:
www.edpubs.org/webstore/Content/search.asp
They have titles like "Reading tips for parents," "Learning partners: let's do science!" and "Museums and learning: a guide to family visits."

Thanks again for the info on the spag.

Writing from the state with the world's largest casino, yes, Prince is a pasta company. Yes, I remember Anthony and wednesdays.....
The casinos (we have two, both indian owned and operated) do occasionally donate. But I'd count on stores first.

If you are outside the reach of the casinos, usually grocery stores will pony up the pasta.

For sauce, if you can find Francesco Rinaldi Spaghetti sauce in the grocery, go to their website for details on FREE sauce:
