The first School Family Night is College Funding Night. flmom- if you're considering the financial night, then I'd wager that our CFN Night is the way to go. You won't believe the free posters and postcards and flyers you'll receive to help you promote the Night! (We just received the full kit from the printer, and it's just great.)
Stay tuned for more SchoolFamily Night options coming up.
I've heard of a few-Gateway computers offers classes to parents and kids about internet safety, Smith Barney wanted to do a presentation at our meeting re preparing for your child's financial future and our school is hosting a month long program called "Roots and Wings" sponsored by the school district (?) but I think it's a national program. The police dept also does 2 very well attended presentations, one on gangs and one on sex offenders. Good luck!
Does anyone have any ideas on parent education? I'm looking into having speakers on different subjects to help parents. Even something like time management/organization. Any ideas on where to find people to speak on these topics?
