Question: Ein number

When you don't have a bank account for a PTO that died out Do you need to get a new ein number to get a bank account started with new members

If your group will be brand new, with a new name and everything then yes, you should re-apply and then get yourself incorporated. When you incorporate you become a new organization with no history in the eyes of the IRS. Hope this helps! Cheryl-PTO Today
