Question: Bad Time of the Year for Fundraising...
Our annual fundraising festival and auction is in November. Unfortunately, by the time we start requesting items from businesses, they inform us they have already given out the allowance of donations for the year. I have contacted a few companies and they have told me to contact them again closer to the event date but I am afraid everything will be given out by then. Has anyone else been affected with donation requests due to your event being later in the year? Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this huge obstacle? I feel like I am in a no win situation and the school is not able to change the time of year that the event is held. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
