Those who are looking for out of town hotels, do you ask for a vacation? Do you ask for a few nights stay? I am also having no luck. I am sending my general "ask" letter (anything you can give), I haven't asked for anything specific.
I have been working on out of area hotels for months--if I have been lucky enough to get a response, it was a no. I even went as far as to find out the general manager at some hotels and either email or send a letter to them. Still no luck.
Hello everyone
This is heaven. Exactly what I needed.
I am all new to this site as of today. I noticed in the I believe 2011 forum I saw what caught my eyes the most as a great fundraiser
-The Disney $500 package for fundraising. I was thinking that I could get tickets made[100 per book] and sell each ticket for $5(too much?)
-Is this easy to get?
-Has anyone seen a bigger eye catching fundraiser than this that will make the buyer purchase a ticket?
By the way there is hardly any support here through the booster club and it is also a bit out of control. I would rather not be involved in what seems so political, so I am trying to do this on my own and raise money. By the way this is to raise money for the High School basketball team; the have their own/additional non-profit club.
Anyone have any luck getting hotels donated out of their area? We are working on out of area donations for getaway baskets with no luck. Any recommendations?

To WinterFest: isn't there a well-known, upscale inn/restaurant outside of DC -- the Inn/Little Washington...I can't remember the name of the place but do you know the restaurant I'm referring to? Maybe you can obtain a gift certificate from them.
